this is a blog all about coffee shops in chicago. my fellow coffee-shop-go-er Marcin a.k.a. 5K a.k.a. 5,000 a.k.a. Mar-D a.k.a. Martin and i (ellen) have had this idea to talk about where to go in chicago to get away from starbucks. e.g. in the gold coast there are 4 starbucks in a 2 block stretch - no kidding! some of the categories/topics covered will be….
- coffee-variety, fare trade?, beans for sale?
- food-lite snacks or actual eats
- service-friendly?, fast?, knowledgable?, good barista?
- environment-comfort, clean, music selection (bad tunes can make you leave), noisy/quiet
- little extras-wi-fi (A MUST), art shows, bulletin area, reading material or games, good location
